Pop up at Beachy Outdoor Soulscape Festival

Hello Everyone!
We're back with another exciting pop-up event story to share with you. Guess where we were last October 1st?

Denis Keller at Soulscape Singapore, Tanjong Beach Club, Chainless Brain

We were at Singapore’s Soulscape Festival - the mindful movement festival, also known to us as the yearly yoga music festival anticipated by all yogis! The festival combined the beach, music, food, shopping and yoga all in one place at Tanjong Beach Club, Sentosa.

There was a wide range of pop-ups that sold accessories, food, drinks, fashion and lifestyle products. The healthy meal options were my favorite aspect of the festival. DoSiRak, the Korean word for bento, served balanced meals with rice, vegetables, and proteins. Another favorite meal option of mine was Absolute Acai. Their bowls and cups of frozen acai berry purée topped with fresh fruit are now my go-to guilt-free dessert. There was also the presence of some social entrepreneurs who founded companies where social, cultural and community solutions drive their missions, like Made Real, Freedom Cups, Ahsim Accessories and many more!

We were thrilled to be involved with this event since we could do pop-up and join the yoga classes as well. Who doesn't love white sand, beach, yoga and a beautiful tan? Our team came early to set up our booth, where we featured all the latest designs of our handmade jewelry that is made from different kinds of gemstones. There never exist two pieces that look exactly the same. Check out our new designs here!

There were different yoga classes and events happening throughout the day, including awesome DJs whose music hyped up and energized the crowd into the evening! It was beautiful to see tons of people doing yoga by the beach , relaxing on the beach and really getting in touch with their inner yogis. It was really a mindful movement! Stay tuned for our next pop-up adventure.

Until next time.

Designer Pop Up @ Tangs Singapore

tangs.jpgBelieve all locals or residents in Singapore will know this iconic departmental store— Tangs, the leading player in the retail industry in Singapore. They are akin to Selfridges of UK and Macy’s of US. They were already in the scene since 1923, offering whatever consumers want and need from clothing, cosmetics, kids stuff, home living and a lot more. With its flagship store located in the heart of Orchard road, which is the biggest shopping district on the country, it has become an iconic brand for Singapore.

On the third week of July, Tangs Plaza in Orchard opened its spaces to support local designers around the country. The fourth level of Tangs was converted to House of TANG, a pop up event showcasing different designers featuring their products ranging from fashion clothing, accessories, stationeries, leather goods and home furniture made locally.

Needless to say, the Chainless Brain team was more than thrilled to be part of House of TANG. Other participating brands include The Concrete Everything Store, The Mindful Company, Make Your Own which are alternative homeware and furniture and many more others. We are extremely honoured to be part of the showcase; and the opportunity to reach a diverse crowd of both local and foreign shoppers.

Emphasizing on minimalistic presentation, our latest collaboration with Kris Jane, fashion statements from British label, Eshvi, which we handpicked them directly from London, and last but not least, a few of Chainless Brain’s signature crystal items are being displayed at House of TANG. If you like our items and are unable to get down to Tangs, good news— we do sell online and ship worldwide. Click here to visit our webstore

We took notice of The Concrete Everything Store, a Singaporean based brand featuring concrete handcrafted products. Really interesting lamps that we are considering getting for our studio.

The Unlisted Collection: hotel brand and BITSY debuted a collaborative three-day pop-up market: Wanderer’s Market, on 8 July, 2016.

The team at Chainless Brain was excited to participate in the pop-up — The Wanderer’s Market. It was held for the first time at the Wanderlust Hotel located in the heart of Little India. The whimsical yet industrial-glam hotel lobby was converted into a pop-up market over those three days.

This collaboration provided a platform for online “e-tailers” to showcase their products. The list of participating brands includes a purveying mix of local designers such as alternative home ware & furniture brand Scene Shang and The Stuck Shop, footwear brand The World At Your Feet, jewellery brands such as ourselves, Chainless Brain and Blithe & Merry.

We love the concept of taking over a hotel lobby for a weekend and showcase our designs to an interesting crowd of both local and tourist audience.

Our team arrived at Wanderlust Hotel on Thursday evening with all our equipment and props. Thank goodness that the hotel has provided us the table, at least that saved us one less bulky item to transport.

Behind every pretty merchandise display, there’s a person manually adjusting and ‘designing’ the way every bracelet and necklace are being placed. And that person is none other than our designer, Alverina.

After an hour of thoughtful arrangement, Chainless Brain’s setup was finally ready. The set up is always kept clean and simple to highlight the focus of the accessories.

The crazy thing of doing a popup is that pretty things from other vendors tend to keep alluring us to their corners. We love the shoes from— it pairs so well with Chainless Brain’s Titanium Quartz Bracelet (check it out here) and these candles from will add a touch to any space.

We love doing pop-ups as they give our team an opportunity to learn more about our customers — understand what makes them tick and what their preferences are — and this helps us to create better products through Chainless Brain. After all, our goal is to offer accessories that have a story to individuals who wants more than a mass produced piece.

Stay tuned and follow us on our journey.

Till then xx,
